Golden Dupes

Intro

As strange as it may seem, there is a large population of Minecraft players who enjoy breaking the game.

There is an entire genre of server, "Anarchy", dedicated to players who want to play Minecraft in its purest form - including using every exploit they can to try and cheat in items.

While managing my minecraft server (UMBCraft), a very active player and friend of mine made a remark to me about how it was upsetting that Mojang and Spigot patch every exploit, and don't even provide any method of toggling them back on.

Soon after, at this person's request, I embarked on making a modification to the game which would recreate some of those past exploits for similarly minded players and minecraft servers.

Spotlight

My plugin supports the recreation of 5 different and unique exploits from various eras of Minecraft's existence.

From sending minecarts through portals, to destroying anvils, to crushing items with pistons, I put a focus on variety and on representing the most interesting cheats that were found over Minecraft's long history.

I also provide an extensive set of configuration options, since every server owner has a different idea of where to draw the line on letting their players duplicate items.

Current Status

After posting this plugin to the online repository spigotmc.org, it quickly grew to be the leading resource in its category.

It is currently the most popular plugin for recreating dupes.
